2009 Business Directory Released

Business Directory Cover

The 2009 edition of our popular annual Membership Directory and Buyer’s Guide is HOT off the press and distribution of the 6000 copies is underway. The Membership Directory/Buyer’s Guide is being mailed to our members and member representatives. The Buyer’s Guide section has been shipped to all businesses on the Canada Post business drop in Oshawa and Clarington.

This directory has two special features attached to it. First, the directory sets a new environmental standard for the Chamber. It is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. This certification ensures that the directory’s production is in harmony with environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forest.

In addition the Rainforest Alliance Certified (RAC) seal is a symbol that indicates quality and commitment to effective conservation and sustainability practices. Further, this edition is fully recyclable; uses soya and vegetable based inks, biodegradable UV coatings and printed on recycled stock. The coating process does not require the use of heat in drying, so less energy was used in production. We hope you will see our environmental concerns as being “good” business.

Secondly, as an added BONUS this year and to enhance the value of your investment in membership at no additional cost to our advertisers the Chamber has invested in having a live copy of the 2009 edition placed on our newly designed website to be launched mid-May. With a click of the mouse the pages will turn and if your listing or ad has a website it will become HOT! HOT! HOT! By a simple click and your web page appears. Watch for it!

Most importantly, the contents of the directory are all about the “BEST” in business—You our Members. Published annually since 1974 the Directory is a premier source of information on Chamber members and the services you offer.  It enables the members to network with one another and develop business contacts within our community. Please use it as a guide when choosing services and remember “Shop a Member First”.
