Canadian economist will provide insight to local business community on April 12th. Interested in gaining some insight to the ever changing economy? Mark your calendars; the City of Oshawa’s annual Economic Outlook Breakfast will provide the opportunity to hear from Craig Alexander, one Canada’s leading economists.
Craig Alexander, who is the Senior Vice President & Chief Economist for the TD Bank Financial Group, will be in Oshawa on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 to present an economic outlook to the local business community. He will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the country, the province and the region at the City of Oshawa’s 6th Annual Economic Outlook Breakfast.
“There are a lot of challenges for Durham Region but there are more opportunities. Staff and Councilors at the City of Oshawa are optimistic about the future and Oshawa is open for business,” said Oshawa Councillor John Aker, Chair of the City of Oshawa’s Development Services Committee.
Mr. Alexander’s wealth of knowledge comes from thirteen years of experience conducting economic analysis in the financial industry as well as four years as an economist at Statistics Canada. In addition to his role with TD, Mr. Alexander is also the President of the Canadian Association for Business Economics.
The business breakfast is presented by the City of Oshawa and TD Bank and will be held at the Jubilee Pavilion (55 Lakeview Park, Oshawa). Registration and breakfast begins at 7:30 am followed by Mr. Alexander’s presentation at 8:00 am.
