Chamber Calls for ALL THE FACTS on Runway Extension

The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce made presentations supporting an Independent Peer Review and Gap Analysis being recommended by the City staff which will address the environmental, noise, and safety concerns as well as the economic and new business case.

As the business community, we expect due diligence and adherence to proper process with respect to the airport’s future operations, the review of environmental, noise, safety and other concerns. To mitigate concerns on the part of those respondents worried about the proposed expansion’s impact on health, safety, environmental and quality of life, a peer-review study should be employed so that such concerns can be examined, addressed and mitigated.

The Chamber supports the Independent Peer Review & Gap Analysis for it is important for City Council to have ALL THE FACTS prior to making a decision on the runway extension.
