Advocacy Committee

Working for you

The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce has always been an advocacy group that represents its business members. The Chamber actively works to advance existing business and attract new economic opportunities. Chamber priorities are driven by you – our members and the community at large.

The Federal Provincial Municipal Affairs Committee and Task Forces monitor and interpret government legislation that will impact business and make recommendations for action to the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The Committee and its Task Forces work with various levels of government and with the Economic Development Departments of the Greater Oshawa area to ensure the Chamber continues to be a strong “Voice of Business” on behalf of all members and that  there is a climate for growth of existing businesses as well as new business.

The committee meets September through June on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.
