April 16, 2016 – Downtown Oshawa is home to a new hotel with the recent opening of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oshawa at 67 Simcoe Street North (northeast corner of Simcoe Street North and Richmond Street East). The new $25 million, 6-storey hotel includes 125 guest rooms and suites, an indoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness facilities and underground parking. The convention centre will open later in 2016. A full service restaurant is also planned for the building.
