OSHAWA – The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce a 10-year partnership with Delpark Homes. Under a naming rights agreement, Legends Centre is now Delpark Homes Centre.
Delpark Homes is a family-owned business and is a valued community partner and sponsor. In March 2018, the City and Delpark Homes entered a five-year partnership agreement to sponsor Arena 4 at the facility.
“The City of Oshawa is excited to announce a continuing partnership with Delpark Homes,” said Oshawa Mayor John Henry. “We thank Delpark Homes for investing in and supporting this amazing community facility and the city.”
“As a family-run business, we understand the value of family. Our commitment has always been about building beautiful homes and neighbourhoods where families can grow and thrive,” said Mark Di Giovanni, Vice President, Land Development. “As a home builder, community is very important to us, and families often find themselves at recreational facilities like this one. Delpark Homes Centre is where new families gather for sports and activities, spend time with one another, learn about their neighbourhoods and meet people. We have long-term plans in Oshawa and Durham region, so taking on the naming rights for Delpark Homes Centre made sense to us as it connected so well with our values.”
“We love that this facility is a community hub for everyone, serving generations to come. We know our new homeowners will be able to enjoy it and we are very happy to be a part of that experience,” added Mark Di Giovanni.
Located at 1661 Harmony Road North, just north of Taunton Road, the premier recreation and community facility is enjoyed by residents and visitors during all seasons. The facility includes a leisure pool with waterslide and lazy river, four NHL-sized ice pads, a gymnasium, aerobics studio, fitness centre and elevated indoor walking track, and is home to an Oshawa Public Libraries branch and Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres branch. Outdoor features include a community garden, seasonal splash pad and playground.
