November 19, 2015 – Lakeridge Health Foundation has concluded its search for a new Chief Executive Officer and will welcome acclaimed fundraising professional Yves Gadler this December.
With over 20 years’ experience in the non-profit sector, Mr. Gadler has an impressive fundraising background and has held past positions in small and large organizations including St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and University of Western Ontario. He has been a past lecturer with the Fundraising Management Program at Ryerson University in Toronto and served on the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Toronto Chapter Board from 2002 to 2008.
“The Board of Directors is thrilled to announce Yves Gadler as the new Chief Executive Officer of Lakeridge Health Foundation. With his extensive background in fundraising and health care, Mr. Gadler was a perfect fit for our organization but especially for the hospital, community and our donors,” says Will Stephen, Chair of Lakeridge Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We have full confidence that he is the right leader for the Foundation and will strengthen and grow our already successful fundraising activities.”
Mr. Gadler will begin his tenure on December 7 during an exciting time for the Lakeridge Health Foundation. The non-profit just launched a $5 million campaign – the largest for the organization in the last five years – to outfit and rebuild the hospital’s interventional radiology suite. To date, 20 per cent of the campaign has already been raised. The project is the second phase of a much larger 25-year campaign to expand the Oshawa site and build a new speciality hospital in Whitby.
“I’m looking forward to joining an accomplished Foundation team at a time where such great momentum is already underway,” says Gadler. “This is indeed an exciting time for Durham Region and I am eager to embrace our donors, the hospital team and the larger community to build a vibrant and engaging future for Lakeridge Health Foundation.”
In close partnership with the hospital, Gadler will build upon his successful track-record of campaign success by raising significant funds for the Foundation’s current interventional radiology campaign and Lakeridge Health’s ongoing priorities.
