The Greater Oshawa Chamber put a call out to its membership to help fill Bob’s Chevy Equinox full to overflowing with toys and food to help Simcoe Hall Settlement House bring Christmas joy to over 1,200 families in need during the 2010 Christmas season. Chamber members rose to the challenge and filled the van and then some! At the recent Christmas Wine & Cheese, the Chamber provided a sample of what was to come. Pictured to the right are (from left to right) Councillor Bob Chapman, Mayor John Henry, Councillor Bruce Wood, GOCC President John Walker, Sandra Sweet of Simcoe Hall Settlement House and Tony Willson (sponsor of the Christmas Wine & Cheese) of Ontario Motor Sales Ltd. Global Pet Foods; Kelly Greenway Bruce, Barristers & Solicitors; Executive Copier Systems Inc.; Don MacMaster of Durham Management Consultants and Pamela Ritchie of UOIT also made substantial donations. The Chamber wishes to thank the many businesses and individuals who helped make this year’s donation possible.
