Oshawa, ON — The holiday season will soon be upon us, and Oshawa Tourism is here to help you find festive fun around every corner! Introducing the Oshawa Holiday Experience Website—your new go-to spot for everything holiday in Oshawa. Packed with seasonal events, dining specials, and uniquely festive offerings, the website is your guide to celebrating the holidays in style.
Here’s What You’ll Find on the Oshawa Holiday Experience Website:
- Full Holiday Event Calendar: Discover local parades, markets, and family activities to keep your holiday schedule packed with fun.
- Sip and Savour Section: Check out festive menus and seasonal specials at local eateries, perfect for warming up after a day of holiday shopping.
- Featured events: Learn more about signature Oshawa events including the Oshawa Santa Claus Parade of Lights, the City of Oshawa Bright and Merry Market and the all new Holiday Shop Local event.
To help us all get into the festive spirit, the Oshawa Santa Claus Parade of Lights is back on Saturday, November 16, at 6 p.m. with a brand-new parade route! The 2024 parade will kick off at Division St. and travel westbound along Bond St. to Gibbons St. This year’s parade promises all the lights, sparkle, music, and holiday magic that our community loves. Gather your family and friends, bundle up, and get ready to kick off the season in a big way. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa! Canada Post will be collecting letters along the parade route to guarantee safe transportation to the man in red.
And that’s not all! On Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., downtown Oshawa will transform into a shopper’s paradise with the Holiday Shop Local event. It’s the perfect chance to check off your gift list while supporting local businesses and enjoying a truly festive atmosphere. You’ll find exclusive deals, fun activities for families (including appearances by favorite holiday characters!), and plenty of holiday spirit. Take a break from shopping and warm up with free hot chocolate and live holiday music in the Avanti Trattoria parking lot while you soak up the cheer.
“We’re so excited to make it easier for everyone to get out and experience the best of Oshawa’s holiday season!” says Krista Licsi, Director of Oshawa Tourism. “The Oshawa Holiday Experience website is all about connecting people with local events, businesses, and experiences to make this season a memorable one.”
