Oshawa Speech & Language Centre

John Valiquette, registered Speech-Language Pathologist, has been providing services to children affected by communication difficulties and their families within Durham Region since 1997.

Communication is one of our greatest gifts that often defines who we are.  For some, this skill doesn’t always come easy. A communication disorder may be suspected when a person’s speech or language is very different from others their own age, they are difficult to understand, or when they avoid interacting with others.

John and his team at The Oshawa Speech and Language Centre are committed to providing individualized support and strive to maintain the highest standards of service in the following areas: Articulation/Phonology, Oral Motor Difficulties, Language Based Learning Difficulties, Swallowing/Tongue Thrust Therapy, Social Communication Skills, Stuttering, and Accent Modification. They pride themselves on providing one-on-one individualized treatment plans for children through a parent-centred approach.
