The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the addition of Isabelle Foley as its new Senior Manager of Member Success. The appointment serves as an expression of the Chamber’s renewed focus on its role of creating opportunities for and bolstering the longevity of its member organizations.
“The past 20 months have put unbelievable pressure on all types of organizations to rework how they create and deliver value for their stakeholders, and the Chamber is no exception,” said Chamber CEO Jason King. “As an organization that exists to create dynamic and symbiotic connections between our members and community, it falls upon us to rethink what our work looks like in a world where everyone’s ability to connect in person has been so drastically changed.”
With that in mind, the Chamber has been working to reimagine what it takes to deliver on its core mission of advocating governments on behalf of its members, connecting and promoting businesses, and helping to inform members and the community on relevant business issues to drive prosperity. “Over the past 90 days, we have spoken to over 160 local business operators at length about where they’re at, what matters most, and how we can best help them to thrive,” added King. “We’re integrating all of that feedback into our planning for 2022, and in that process, it became obvious we needed to bring in a compassionate and dedicated leader like Isabelle.”
“The mission of The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce will never change,” said Chamber President Cassandra Wildman, “but we knew it was time to update our practices to better support our members. With Isabelle’s background in enterprise-level client success operations and her obvious huge heart for community building, this was an exciting and easy choice for our board.”
Before joining the Chamber, Isabelle briefly worked full-time at the Back Door Mission in downtown Oshawa after a long tenure as a client success and offshore operations leader at 360insights in Whitby.
