Save the Date for Bell Let’s Talk Day

The 4th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day is coming up on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, and we hope you’ll share your support and bring more Canadians into the conversation about mental health.

We are proud to be making a positive impact in the lives of people with mental health issues in communities all across Canada with the Bell Let’s Talk Day campaign. Recognising that simply talking makes a significant impact in breaking down the stigma associated with mental illness, the campaign encourages people to “start the conversation” about mental health with friends, family and co-workers. On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell will donate 5¢ to mental health initiatives for every:

  •  Text message sent and long distance call made by Bell customers, or
  • Anyone who shares our Bell Let’s Talk image on Facebook or Tweets using #BellLetsTalk

The 2014 Bell Let’s Talk campaign kicks off on Monday, January 6, with national multi-media advertising featuring Bell Let’s Talk spokesperson and six-time Olympian, Clara Hughes. Once again, composer and performer, Stefie Shock, actor-comedian, Michel Mpambara, and former Canada-AM Co-Host Seamus O’Regan, are joining Clara in support of mental health.

Last year, more than 96 million texts and calls were made on Bell Let’s Talk Day resulting in over $4.8 million more committed by Bell to mental health. We think this is a strong indication that Canadians care about mental health and want to be part of the national conversation. With your help, we hope to take this conversation to a whole new level.

We hope that Bell Let’s Talk Day gives you or your organization new opportunities to increase the volume and frequency of conversations about mental health in communities across the country.
