Joe Baker is a multi-passionate entrepreneur within Canada’s tourism, hospitality and education sectors and a vocal advocate for an inclusive, future-forward industry. Joe also worked as Dean at the Centennial College School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts where he led the most significant transformation in the school’s over 50-year history.

Currently, Joe serves proudly on the board of directors for Tourism HR Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario and is currently the CEO of Joe Baker & Co., a hospitality and tourism industry consultancy specializing in thought leadership, human capital, and operational excellence.

In this episode, we discuss Joe’s mission to help save Canada’s tourism industry, starting with some startling statistics to help frame up an appreciation for what a major economic driver tourism is for us in Canada.
