Reminder: 2013 Business Count Team Collecting Data On Local Businesses In Durham Region

Durham Region business owners are reminded that the 2013 Business Count—an annual survey of local businesses that will gather statistics about their operations—is still ongoing.

Members of the Business Count Team will be visiting local business establishments throughout Durham Region until the end of August to gather basic information about the type and nature of the business, the number of employees, plans for growth, floor space and location. Data collected will also be used to promote Durham businesses, monitor economic trends, forecast infrastructure projects, identify skill shortages and plan transit services.

The Business Count Team will be recognizable by their navy blue Region of Durham shirts and photo ID cards. If any local businesses (including home businesses) have not yet been visited by the Business Count Team, they may also complete the survey online at www.durham.ca/businesscount.
