You’re invited to Canada Day at Lakeview Park

Join Oshawa in a day packed with fun and a spectacular firework show presented by Tribute Communities

OSHAWA – The City of Oshawa invites residents to gather at Lakeview Park for a day of fun and connecting with the community, all in the name of Canada Day.

The festivities begin at 2:00 p.m. with activities and entertainment for all ages. Some of the family friendly options include jumping castles, O.C.C.N.A Sports Experience, Zoo to You, face painting, Young Songwriter’s Music Festival, Sandqube Sand Sculptures with interactive sandcastle workshops, an Invado Volley Ball Tournament, Ontario Regiment vehicles, and so much more!

The opening ceremonies will begin at 4:30 p.m. with Oshawa’s Got Talent 2015 winner Kalista Wilson singing, “O Canada.” There will also be live performances from The Heat, Barbara Lynn Doran, The Micronite Filters, Excuses Excuses, Poor Judgement, The Doozies, Hairy Holler, and Professors of Funk.

There will also be displays from community partners, local food vendors, a family zone, an activity zone, activities on the beach, carnival, historical village and more. This is great day to spend with friends, family and the rest of the community. At 10:00 p.m., a fantastic firework show presented by Tribute Communities will begin to close the full day of activities, performances and celebration.

Public parking at Lakeview Park is not available unless the vehicle has an accessible sticker issued by the Ministry of transportation. However, starting at 1:00 p.m., there will be free parking at the Oshawa Centre and a shuttle leaving every 15 minutes until 9:15 p.m. The shuttle will take residents from the Oshawa Centre to Lakeview Park, and then back after the event is over. Durham Region Transit is also an option for transportation.
